I know it is hard to believe under all this heat and humidity that Fall is here. But it is, Florida Style!There are lots of super fun things to do in the area that will get you in the festive mood from Fall festivals, pumpkins patches, corn mazes, haunted houses and so much more. Almost all of the events are family friendly. After all, that is what makes Ocala so great!
Make the Druid Hills Pumpkin Patch at Druid Hills Methodist Church your family Fall tradition.Pick the perfect pumpkin for carving, decorating or eating.Thousands of Pumpkins are there to choose from along with plenty of photo ops. They are located on the corner of Lk Weir Ave and SE 17th St, Across from Bitting’s Pharmacy.
Once you carved your pumpkin, head North of town to the Coon Hollo Corn Maze. It runs from Oct 5th- Nov 4th. Here you can find family fun in the truck loads! Play in the corn maze, take a hay ride or train ride, play a little corn hole, or take time to learn a little agriculture. Don’t worry about burning too many calories having all that fun, they have food there to keep you going!
If these are too tame for you and you would rather have your pants scared off of you- well you got it! Silver Springs Attraction is hosting the 40th Annual Jaycees Haunted House. This years Fright Nights features Terror Island,Voodoo Bayou, Spirit of the Swap Cemetary and GATOR MAN!!! Are you brave enough to face him
