Pet Friendly Places in Ocala

I want to go!

Don’t leave your best friend behind on the weekends! The Ocala area has a lot of places your four legged friends will be welcome. Just please make sure they are leashed and well behaved. If you are looking for a fun outing, here is a good schedule to get you going.

Start your day off with a hardy breakfast at First Watch. The outdoor dining area is pet friendly and the menu offers very fresh and healthy options. Panera, Mimi Cafe on Hwy 200, The Ivy on the Square all have outdoor seating, so pets may be welcome there too.

Stroll the new farmers market in downtown Ocala and pick up a few snacks for the day. The new pavilion is covered and makes for a very pleasant experience.

Head on over to Silver Springs State Park and enjoy the gorgeous grounds, peaceful waters and sunshine. The park is now state owned and pet friendly as long as your pet is leashed and well behaved.

If your pet is tired of the leash, bring them over to the Letty Towels dog park at Jervy Gant. Address is2299 SE 32nd Ave, Ocala, FL 34471. They have a section for small dogs and one for larger dogs. Be free of the leash and run!

Finish your day with a treat from PetSmart or Petco and then grab a light dinner at Panera. The outdoor seating is pet friendly.

It is becoming more and more acceptable to have your pets accommodated. Lowes and Home Depot allow dogs. Red Roof Inn and Quality Inn in town allow pets. Most of our state parks do as well.

We hope your enjoy your time with your best friend and please feel free to share pics of your fun day!
