Prepare for a Spooky Weekend!

Halloween is just around the corner and Ocala has a bunch of spooky events to get you in the Halloween spirit! Get your costumes ready and prepare for a weekend packed with festivals, movies, and running!

Ocala Airport Fall Festival

On October 27th, 11 am – 3 pm, Sheltair Aviation is hosting the 2nd Ocala Airport Fall Festival.  Dress the kids up in their Halloween costumes and join in on the fun for free at the Ocala International Airport.  The event includes raffles, hayrides, games, and tours of aircraft and airport support vehicles.  All proceeds raised are being donated to Racing for Cancer, a cancer program focused on early detective and prevention.

Marion County Halloween Run

Slip on your running shoes and head over to the Paddock Mall for the 1st annual Marion County Halloween run on October 27th from 3 pm – 7 pm.

The event includes both a 5k beginning at 4:15 pm and 10k beginning at 4:30 pm. Following the event, join the fall festival after party featuring live music, games, food trucks, and a costume contest!  Proceeds raised from this event help benefit the Marion County Children’s Alliance.

Fort King Haunted Trail and Halloween Movie

After the race, head over to Fort King National Historic Landmark for a haunted trail walk filled with candy and fun for the whole family to enjoy. Following the haunted trail, sit back with some popcorn and watch “The Addams Family” on the giant outdoor screen in the park. Make sure to bring blankets and chairs.
