Dunnellon is located in the heart of Central Florida, in Marion County. It is about 80 miles North of Tampa and about 30 minutes west of Ocala. Dunnellon is best known for the Pristine Rainbow River. The head waters of the Rainbow River can be seen in Rainbow River State Park. The River flows south to converg with the Withalacoochee River.
