Relocating to Ocala

Many people have reached out to us with housing requests since the are relocating to Ocala. What is causing this increase we must ask.

The job market is growing in Ocala with many major companies relocating to Ocala. Companies such as Chewy.com, Fed Ex, and the World Equestrian Center have deemed this area perfect due to the climate, low cost of living and central location.

Recent job growth is up 2.3% thanks to more large companies moving in. The growth is expected to continue as well. This could be due to the lower cost of living which a whole 16.2% LOWER than the country average. The average home price in Ocala is only $150,000. While the cost of living is low, the quality of living is great. We are centrally located smaller town with a population of only 60,000. Ocala has plenty of lakes and rivers including Silver Springs State Park, world class biking trails and of course plenty of horse related outlets. Located just a short drive from all the metro cities and both coast as well as having direct access to Florida’s major interstate, Ocala is the most convenient and uniquely situated towns in Florida.

Long viewed as only a place for horses and retirees, thanks to our many 55 and over communities, Ocala is now known for a great place for families too. There is a sense of community here which people are longing for these days. That would explain the over 3% population growth recently.
