Ocala is not just about horses.  Ocala also offers a wide variety of outdoor activities for any interest.  If Disk Golf is your thing, Ocala has a very active scene.  Watersports activities abound in the area’s many lakes and rivers.  Silver Springs State Park and Rainbow Springs offer unique scenery and crystal clear waters like you have never experienced before.  Lake Wier and other local lakes offer water skiing, jet skiing, para sailing and more.  Whether you are a fisherman, like to kayak or canoe or just cool off, there is a body of water somewhere nearby!

Shopping is plentiful in this area ranging from small boutique shops to all the major big box retailers you can imagine.  From the small mom and pop restaurant to the major chains, you will never get bored eating out in Ocala.

There are many civic organizations and clubs in the area and the arts scene is vibrant and growing.  A weekly downtown Farmers Market on Ocala’s historic square, showcases local vendors’ crafts and home grown produce. Also, on the first Friday of every month is the First Friday Art Walk where local artists display their talents.
